Aim of course.

On successful completion of the course the cadidate will be able to practice sports massage on non injured tissue, professionally, safely and competently.You will also be eligable join the Sports Massage Association at level 3 with the benefits of purchasing their professional indemity insurance (see website for costs).This qualification will satisfy the entry requirement for Vtct level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy.

Entry requirements.

You must be at least 16 years old,hold a HSE first aid certificate and have a reasonable fitness level due to the nature of the work.

Online Anatomy & Physiology with tutor support.

Two by 5 full practical days with fully qualified and experienced tutors working on a diverse client base needed to help gain the necessary experience both for yourself and for the course requirements.

Guided learning hours:210 to include a minimum of 50 hours of massage undertaken on non-pathological tissue(non-injured).

 

Course price

The price is £549 which includes course tutors,material,assessments and certificate, PLUS £70 for Vtct course registration and booklets,£16 for Vtct lifetime registration and £25 for registration to FHT to include student insurance.

Aim of course

The course will provide a practitioner with advanced anatomical,physiological and pathological principals and palpation skills to enable the candidate to apply sports massage to tissue with pathology. It provides a range of advanced massage techniques for prevention and management of sporting injuries.

Entry requirements

Candidates must be 18 and hold the vtct level 3 certificate in sports massage therapy or an equivalent.An HSE recognised emergency first aid certificate is obligatory.

  • advanced palpation skills
  • management and prevention of injury
  • advanced massage techniques
  • production of report /letters of referral for relevant healthcare professionals

Guided learning hours :130  to include a minimum of 65 hours of massage undertaken on tissue with pathology.
